What to expect
Departure 7 AM from your hotel in Dakar. About 2.5 hours north — the landscape changes gradually and the drive itself is part of the journey. Arrival at Lompoul: local guides pick you up in a 4x4 to take you into the heart of the dunes. First up: camel ride through the golden dunes — the slow rhythm, the silence, the light. Then sandboarding for those who want to slide down the sand (it's harder than it looks). Lunch under a Berber tent at the camp — traditional food, mint tea, total peace. Free time to explore, take photos or just sit and do nothing. Quad biking available as an extra. Back in Dakar by evening.
